Virgin Voyages has announced it will be sailing itineraries to Mexico and the Dominican Republic as part of its inaugural season from Miami in 2020.
The new cruise line had already revealed that it would be featuring Cuba as part of its first season in the Caribbean.
The line’s first ship Scarlet Lady will offer four and five-night Havana After Dark itineraries, including an overnight stay in Havana, plus five-night voyages to both Mexico’s Costa Maya and the Dominican Republic.
Diana Block Garcia, vice-president of itinerary and destination development for Virgin Voyages, said: “We set out on an adventure to find overnight destinations that have a combination of opportunities for high-energy exploration and places for relaxation, as the perfect complement to our Virgin Voyages experience.
“We have composed itineraries that have a sense of palpable culture, history and above all induce that carefree feeling that you only get while on holiday.”
Virgin also unveiled details about its cabins with 93% offering an ocean view and 86% featuring a terrace. They will also feature the Seabed, which has been designed by Germany’s Walter Knoll.
Bookings for Scarlet Lady’s inaugural 2020 season will open on February 14.
Virgin intends to reveal plans for on-shore experiences, to be known as Shore Things, in late 2019.
