Wendy Wu Tours has named John Warr and Joe Sutcliffe as co-deputy managing directors for its UK operations.
The pair are currently global directors at the Asia specialist operator.
In a statement, Wendy Wu Tours said that Warr and Sutcliffe had been the “driving force” behind its UK recent growth – with the business seeing a record 44% sales increase during January and February.
The duo will report into group chief executive Joe Karbo, who is currently acting UK managing director at Wendy Wu following the departure of Laurence Hicks.
Hicks stepped down as UK managing director last month after four and a half years with the company.
Karbo said: “Both Joe and John are key leaders of the business, and as co-deputy managing directors they will enable our UK operations to further strengthen its hold as the number one inbound tour operator for China and Asia.”
Founder Wendy Wu added: “At Wendy Wu Tours, we have a culture of recognising talent for their loyalty and the hard work they give to the company and with Joe Sutcliffe and John Warr, I am proud to have them both leading the business during this exciting time for us.”
