The Wildlife, Safari and Conservation Summit is back for a second year following the success of the inaugural event.
Organisers of the summit have scheduled in next year’s event for 9 October, saying it will be bigger and better than this year’s offering.
In 2019, attendees networked, joined business meetings and shared knowledge on topical issues such as plastic waste, responsible animal tourism and overtourism.
Key speakers included TV presenter Patrick Aryee, TTG’s luxury editor April Hutchinson and Mike Dilger from BBC’s The One Show.
“Everyone involved in travel should be thinking about the topics raised at the summit; getting together allows us to improve the way we work together and make sure tourism is a force for good,” said Emma O’Rourke, destination specialist at Archipelago Choice.
Anthony Daniels, Hurtigruten’s UK general manager, added: “Meeting, discussing and learning from like-minded brands whilst inspiring the trade partners in attendance is all part of our growth strategy.
“The quality of the speakers, panel discussions and attendee’s exceeded our expectations and we hope to be included again at future summits.”
