Code-cracking travel agents can win a Christmas trip to New York as part of Royal Caribbean International’s new Club Rewards incentive.
The line will whisk 15 agents who take part in its Escape Room competition off to the Big Apple for a three-night all-expenses-paid break in December.
Royal said the winners will stay at "a luxury Manhattan hotel and experience the best entertainment the city has to offer".
There will also be free time to explore the city that never sleeps and take in the destinations most famous sights.
Running from September 4 until October 4, the competition - inspired by the Observatorium Escape Room onboard the newly revamped Independence of the Seas - sees agents take on an interactive online game that challenges members to “flex their Royal muscles” and demonstrate how well they know the line.
For the duration of the competition, every approved booking submitted to Club Rewards will be granted one entry into the virtual Escape Room.
Once inside, members must search for items that will lead them to a knowledge-testing Royal Caribbean product question.
Contestants must quickly complete four challenges to be granted the key, unlock the door and escape.
An attempted escape will earn agents 10 points, while a successful escape will earn 100 points and a weekly bonus of 50 points is up for grabs for the fastest escape.
At the conclusion of the competition, the top-scoring 14 agents will join Club Rewards on the New York getaway. Those who secure positions 15 to 25 will be invited to battle it out in a golden ticket giveaway for the final spot on the trip.
Ben Bouldin, association vice-president and managing director UK and Ireland, said: “There is simply nothing like the Big Apple at Christmas so this is an opportunity not to be missed. There are more ways to play than simply booking, so keep your eyes peeled for free codes granting extra chances to play and win a place on this money-can’t-buy trip.”
