Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has named Russell Galbut its new chairman.
Former US Coastguard Rear Admiral Mary Landry also joins the board as an independent director.
Galbut succeeds Walter Revell, who has stepped down from the board after 20 years, the past three years as chairman.
Frank Del Rio, Norwegian president and chief executive, said: “I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Walter for his dedicated service, sage advice, and invaluable contribution.
“We look forward to Russell serving as the next chairman. His experience and extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, along with his significant contributions to the board made him the ideal candidate for the role.
Landry, meanwhile, replaces Revell on the board: "Mary’s significant experience in maritime operations, various leadership roles within the US Coastguard and risk management expertise made her a perfect candidate for the board,” said Galbut.
“We are confident her leadership will have a meaningful impact on Norwegian’s future growth.”
