Rosewood has opened its first resort in southeast Asia with the debut of its property on the Thai island of Phuket.
Rosewood Phuket is located on Emerald Bay in southwest Phuket and features 71 pool pavilions and villas, set among 43 acres of landscaped grounds.
The property will be followed next year by a second Rosewood hotel in the region, which will be located in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and is scheduled to open in the first three months of 2018.
The Phuket resort also marks the debut of Rosewood’s first Asaya “wellness concept” designed to create personalised treatments for guests using homegrown herbs and ingredients.
Rooms have views across the Andaman Sea and feature garden terraces, while ocean-view pool pavilions include courtyards with bathtubs and rain showers.
The 796sqm Ocean House includes two bedrooms, separate living and dining rooms, as well as garden courtyards and terraces with a private infinity pool.
Other facilities include the Rosewood Explorers club for children, 24-hour fitness centre, beachside infinity pool, an events and wedding area called The Pavilion, and four dining venues.
Andrew Turner, managing director of Rosewood Phuket, said: “Our resort opens a window to a unique Phuket experience in this very special setting.”
