Ryanair has launched an extra pair of Dublin-London services for rugby fans and St Patrick’s Day revellers travelling from the Irish capital next month.
The low-cost carrier said the flights, which will be departing Dublin at 11.55am and 2.10pm on March 19, had been added due to “record demand” from customers travelling home from England’s Six Nations clash with Ireland the day before and tourists enjoying the city’s St Patrick’s Day parade on Friday, March 17.
Ryanair said that due to the influx of visitors to Dublin over that weekend it expected seats to be “in high demand".
Robin Kiely, head of communications at Ryanair, said: “We’ve had record bookings on our Dublin routes for St Patrick’s weekend, with customers travelling in huge numbers for the parade and the final Six Nations match between Ireland and England.”
