Former Travel Network Group marketing director Si Morris-Green has teamed up with Fusion Holidays’ Harry Lightfoot and Steve Cheal to launch a direct-sell cruise operator.
Fusion Cruises soft launched a number of years ago, but Morris-Green’s joining as director has seen a designated website created and a marketing plan drawn up.
Lightfoot and Cheal currently own and run Fusion Holidays, which operates online and has one store.
Since leaving TTNG in February, Morris-Green has been running a travel consultancy business, Evolve, which will continue to operate.
Lightfoot and Cheal said: “We are looking forward to adding a new dynamic to our business and we feel Si will complement our vision perfectly and add value to the new cruise proposition.”
Morris-Green added: “Between us, we have a wealth of knowledge in the cruise sector and an amazing passion, energy and creativity to drive the business and make it a success.
“Fusion Cruises will focus on educating and engaging with customers, introducing channels not currently being used in the cruise market to reach out to all demographics.
“We will bring our business alive with TV, online and consumer events, and we will be hosting our first cruise show in January 2020.”
The business, which has a team of six, is located in West Sussex.
