Two new sky suites join new show productions and a number of reimagined dining spaces along with an increased number of cabanas
Sky Princess, the fourth in Princess’s Royal Class fleet, showcases a range of new features for travel agents to get excited about.
Its biggest innovation is the introduction of two new Sky Suites at the top of the ship, offering bespoke experiences such as stargazing sessions, the chance to have musicians play on the balcony and being able to choose the film played on the Movies Under the Stars screen which can be watched from the suite’s terrace. There are also 38 balcony cabins arond the pool.
Adults-only space The Sanctuary has moved up one deck to deck 18 and features eight private cabanas, twice as many as any other Royal Class ship in the fleet.
Four new productions join the cruise line’s stellar line-up of entertainment, including Rock Opera and 5 Skies, with the former premiering on the preview sailing and the latter debuting on the ship’s Caribbean sailngs, with a fourth to debut in 2020.
A new puppet show, Inspired Silliness, in partnership with the Jim Henson Creature Shop, which takes its cues from the earlier work of famous creator of The Muppets, has been created by John Tartaglia, best-known for irreverant musical Avenue Q.
Jazz Lounge Take Five is a new theatre area for live jazz music, educational programming, and historical presentations. The brand new Wakeview Pool on the aft of the ship is served by a bar which will serve food, where guests can also take a look back at the sea.
“This is the most exciting time to work for Princess Cruises but also an exciting time for agents to market and sell,” said Rai Caluori, EVP of Fleet Operations, for whom this is the 26th vessel he has helped launch.
The TTG New to Cruise Festival is designed to provide the tools, knowledge and education for agents who want to sell cruise.
