Clients will now be able to search for holidays using their Alexa smart speaker.
The voice-activated guide prompts users with questions to search for and tailor their trips, such as preferred date and destination, how many people will be travelling, which airport they would like to fly from and holiday duration.
Alexa will then share details on accommodation, including availability, price, star and trip advisor ratings, as well as dates and departure airports.
Once a voice selection has been made, Alexa will send an email to a member of the Teletext Holidays customer service team who will contact clients to confirm the booking.
If a holiday option cannot be found, Alexa will provide clients with the number of a “teletextpert” who will create a package via telephone.
Wayne Perks, managing director, Teletext Holidays, said: “We are constantly striving to provide a more connected experience for our customers, and the Alexa skill gives them another medium in which to interact with us.
“By leveraging new technologies, we hope to increase engagement amongst a broader demographic of potential customers.”
