Has Covid cancelled peaks? TTG will be finding out out in the latest TTG Debate, which will take place at 10am on Wednesday (25 November).
With just over a month until Christmas, travel is well and truly ready to see the back of 2020, a year that has brought unprecedented challenges for every individual sector, business, organisation, trade body and individual with a stake in the long-term health of the UK and Ireland’s travel industry.
But what of 2021? What needs to be done to make sure the industry is in the best possible shape it can be to get off to a strong start next year? And what does that mean for peaks, the traditional turn-of-year selling window that so often offers a glimmer of light during the darkest days of winter?
TTG’s next debate will explore what expectations the trade can have of sales over the coming weeks and months, what can and is being done to prepare, how businesses can adapt to be flexible, and how they can maximise any opportunities to capitalise on pent-up travel demand.
It will also look at what factors may play a part in travel’s recover, what can be done to boost consumer confidence, and what the key priorities are for travel over the winter to ensure it can confidently emerge from the crisis.
All these points, and more, we will seek to address in a panel moderated by TTG deputy news editor James Chapple, who will be joined by:
