Tea with Richard Branson is the prize being offered by Virgin Voyages to a travel agent who registers on its trade portal before the line goes on sale in February.
The experience, available to be won by a travel partner in the UK, US or Canada, comes as part of the launch of FirstMates.com; the digital home for agents to learn, engage and do business with Virgin Voyages, which goes live on February 5 with the line’s inaugural 2020 season going on sale February 14.
Downloadable digital and in-store marketing materials, as well as interactive learning resources can be accessed on FirstMates.com.
On February 6, ahead of going on sale, Virgin Voyages will kick off its Cabin Fever training campaign, revealing more details about cabins and suites onboard its first ship Scarlet Lady.
Stacy Shaw, vice-president of sales and business development, told TTG Cabin Fever would be an “intensive and immersive programme” featuring in-person and digital learning for agents.
“A lot of questions are going to be answered so it’s going to be a very exciting week,” she said.
Earlier this month, Shane Riley, director of UK and international sales, announced he had begun recruiting for a pair of UK-based sales managers to grow trade business and brand recognition of Virgin Voyages.
Riley later revealed he had received “more than 200” applications for the roles so far and was looking to hire someone he believed could “challenge traditional cruise industry norms”.
