ANA (All Nippon Airways) and joint venture partner Lufthansa are again offering their Free Domestic Airfare Offer this autumn, now expanded through a collaboration with ITA Airways, as part of a campaign with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
For a limited period from 1 to 30 September 2026, special fares to Japan are available for travel between 1 December 2026 and 28 February 2027, giving customers the chance to experience the country's winter attractions.
The Stopover & Add-on benefit returns for a second year. Customers can add up to two ANA domestic flight sectors at no extra airfare when booking with an international itinerary during the campaign window, combining destinations across ANA's network of more than 40 airports in Japan.
Recent JNTO research found 69.2% of UK travellers are now aware of Japanese destinations beyond Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, reflecting growing interest in the regions.
ANA remains committed to encouraging a more balanced distribution of travel demand across Japan. Building on last year's campaign, it hopes to inspire travellers to enjoy seasonal experiences such as snowy landscapes, hot springs and regional cuisine, while venturing beyond the country's best-known destinations.
Passengers in all cabin classes can combine the Stopover benefit with the Add-on Free Fare to include destinations such as the landscapes of Tohoku, the onsen towns of Kyushu or the islands of Okinawa, at no additional airfare.
By opening up access to more than 40 destinations, ANA aims to make regional travel more accessible, helping to ease pressure on Japan's most popular destinations and support more sustainable tourism.
The offer is available on eligible fares booked between 1 and 30 September 2026, for travel within the applicable period. Full terms and conditions apply; customers should visit ANA's website for details of eligible fares, conditions and routes.
