HX Expeditions has launched its 2028/29 season: 57 voyages across 14 destinations, including 26 new itineraries, two destinations new to HX and five major product innovations. Voyages span 6–25 nights, reach 81°N and 70°S, and include 1,288 ports of call.
Highlights include a new 19-day Antarctica and South Georgia expedition aboard MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fram departures from Stanley, making HX the first major expedition company in more than a decade to use the Falkland Islands as an Antarctic gateway.
"The voyages may be new, but the expertise behind them is not," said Gebhard Rainer, CEO of HX Expeditions. "At HX, exploration is about more than reaching remote destinations. It's about how you experience them: with insight, intention and respect. Our new 2028/29 season builds on more than 130 years of expedition heritage, creating new ways for guests to connect with the people, wildlife and landscapes that make these places so extraordinary."
In Alaska, two new 8-day Inside Passage expeditions between Vancouver and Sitka can combine into a 15-day roundtrip; a new 17-day Aleutian Islands voyage adds Kake and Elfin Cove alongside community partnerships. Greenland gains an 8-day Nuuk roundtrip covering Disko Bay, Ilulissat Icefjord and Inuit communities, plus a new 11-day itinerary.
HX's first dedicated Scandinavia programme aboard MS Spitsbergen introduces voyages in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. Arctic Canada adds a 19-day Baffin Island circumnavigation aboard MS Roald Amundsen, entering the Northwest Passage and attempting Fury and Hecla Strait, with visits to Qikiqtarjuaq and Kinngait.
The programme also includes HX's largest-ever Svalbard season, with 23 departures; nine new Atlantic and Pacific Ocean Crossings; and year-round Galápagos expeditions aboard Santa Cruz II, with optional Machu Picchu extensions.
