Formula 1 will return to Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit for the first time since 2017 for the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia from 2 – 4 October, followed one week later by the Singapore Grand Prix from 9 – 11 October.
With services from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur and onward connections to Singapore, Malaysia Airlines enables travellers to combine both race weekends while discovering more of Malaysia between events.
Far more than just a stopover between two Grand Prix weekends, Malaysia is an unforgettable destination in its own right. In Kuala Lumpur, visitors can experience a vibrant capital where contemporary culture, diverse heritage and renowned food scene come together.
Between race weekends, travellers can explore Kuala Lumpur’s diverse neighbourhoods, celebrated food scene and cultural landmarks, or extend their journey to Malaysia’s beaches, heritage cities and tropical landscapes with the Bonus Side Trip offer. With the Singapore Grand Prix taking place the following weekend, the itinerary provides an opportunity to combine world-class motorsport with a wider journey through Southeast Asia.
Malaysia Airlines also offers eligible international travellers the opportunity to take advantage of its Bonus Side Trip programme. Travelling via Kuala Lumpur, passengers can add an additional stop to their journey and enjoy a flight to one of the eight Malaysian destinations offered under the programme, with no additional fare, excluding applicable airport taxes to extend their stay and experience another side of Malaysia before continuing to Singapore.
The journey begins the moment travellers board with Malaysia Airlines’ signature Malaysian Hospitality and in-flight menus inspired by the flavours of Malaysia. Guests can also enjoy MHstudio on-demand entertainment, unlimited Wi-Fi on eligible aircraft and a generous 20kg checked baggage allowance.
