Briggs brings over 20 years of travel industry experience to the role, having previously spent more than two decades with DialAFlight in various capacities.
Her career there included roles as a travel consultant, team manager, and, latterly as a training and learning development specialist, where she delivered sales training to approximately 120 people across the company's regional divisions.
After taking voluntary redundancy during the pandemic, Briggs spent time outside the sector working with Shift to Success, delivering business training programmes to police and ex-serving police officers. However, she has now returned to travel, her first passion.
In her new role, Briggs will work alongside fellow BDMs and the wider Academy team, supporting new franchisees through their initial phase of business development. Her primary focus will be guiding consultants to achieve their first bronze pin milestone of 10 bookings.
"Coaching is the thing that makes me buzz," said Briggs. "I can do sales, but helping people improve and watching them develop is what I love. This role ticked all my boxes: a collaborative team environment, home-based, and specialising in coaching."
Briggs will focus on helping consultants develop client acquisition strategies, maximise profit margins through supplier selection, build confidence, and implement effective marketing and networking approaches.
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: "Starting a business in any new industry can feel overwhelming. That's why we've created a system that focuses on actions that directly boost sales, whilst also instilling confidence in our consultants to sell with passion and authenticity. New recruits from other homeworking agencies tell us our training surpasses all competitors."
Briggs said she had been impressed by the support available to franchisees: "It's unlike anything I've ever seen. The only thing Not Just Travel doesn't do is the work for them. Everything else they could possibly want is at their fingertips."
