Demand for WeRoad's solo-focused tours follows an uptick in searches for solo travel, with searches for the term peaking in July 2025, according to Google data.
The partnership allows TCs to connect with a new generation of travellers seeking authentic, community-based experiences – a segment that continues to grow rapidly. WeRoad's portfolio extends across Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas.
The collaboration comes just three months after WeRoad launched its new global trade partnership programme and marks an important step in the company’s expansion in the UK, where it has achieved more than 50% year-on-year growth.
The programme enables agencies, OTAs and independent advisors to offer WeRoad’s curated itineraries, supported by a competitive commission structure, dedicated training and rewards for new customer acquisition.
Agents can also benefit from ongoing incentives, including sales contests and bonus schemes designed to recognise top performers.
WeRoad is investing in technology to streamline integration with partners, with the goal of making trade a key growth driver – generating up to 25% of total bookings through the trade channel in the coming years.
Clarissa Cappelletti, WeRoad's UK regional manager, said: “[Travel Counsellors'] network of trusted travel experts understands today’s travellers are looking for something more meaningful than a traditional holiday. They want experiences that connect them with others and the world. Together, we’re making these journeys easier to book and more widely available”.
Carol Hooley, Travel Counsellors' retail partner manager, added: “We’re delighted to partner with WeRoad which gives our Travel Counsellors access to a fresh and fast-growing adventure travel offering that is already proving extremely popular with solo travellers.
"Their carefully curated itineraries, strong community model and focus on experience-led travel align closely with customer demand. We’re excited to support our Travel Counsellors with a new product that we know will deliver real value for both their customers and their businesses."
