When you suggest Air New Zealand as a long-haul option for your clients, they'll be grateful for your insider knowledge. Once they've experienced the carrier's fresh modern product and warm Kiwi hospitality, they'll understand why the New Zealand/Aotearoa national carrier is a worthy recipient of multiple awards.
Air New Zealand may not fly direct from the UK, but it operates through 12 international hubs and, as a Star Alliance member, has handy code-share possibilities for seamless connections.
You could also use the opportunity to create an enticing North America or Asia stopover for your clients before or after their Air New Zealand flight. On arrival, there’s an excellent Oceania network for multi-centre itineraries.
Newly reimagined cabins are currently being rolled out across the fleet. It’s also good to know Air New Zealand was named the safest airline in the world by Airlineratings.com 2025.
Here’s more on why you should be selling the carrier.
Air New Zealand’s new fully redesigned 787-9 Dreamliner
In 2014, Air New Zealand made history as the launch customer for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Now, it’s introducing the first-ever nose-to-tail refit of the aircraft.
Reinvented interiors began rolling out across the airline’s existing 787-9s this year. They will also feature on eight brand-new Dreamliners arriving from 2026. All 14 Air New Zealand aircraft will feature the new cabins by the end of next year.
Redesigned Business Premier seats have a new angle and layout to improve privacy and space. They feature sliding screens (including dividers for middle seats), wireless charging and 24" inflight entertainment screens. With the seat fully flat, the headrest can be raised to the optimum reading or movie-watching position.
Four all-new seats in the front row of the Business Premier cabin can be booked as an upgrade. Business Premier Luxe comes with the additional perks of a full closing door, a larger bed and room for two to dine.
Premium Economy now gives passengers more privacy, thanks to side wings on the seats, there’s also extra storage space. Seats have a fixed outer shell, meaning reclining doesn't impact the person behind.
Economy continues to feature the Skycouch, an Air New Zealand world-first which enables a row of three seats to be adapted to lie on. Economy Stretch seats meanwhile offer up to 39% more legroom than standard Economy.
Clients will experience the destination before they arrive with the New Zealand food and wine meal service. The Sky Pantry, with a round-the-clock selection of free snacks is another thoughtful touch on international flights.
Digital innovation is meanwhile improving the inflight entertainment experience. Each cabin is gaining bigger screens: 13.3” in Economy, 15.6” in Premium Economy and 24” in Business Premier/Business Premier Luxe.
Free onboard wifi enables passengers to use their own devices or pair them to the inflight entertainment system to use as remote controls.
Bluetooth technology also gives passengers the option of linking their own headphones to the system.
The ‘best sleep in the sky’
New Zealand's location means its flag carrier is an ultra-long-haul sleep specialist with comfort and wellness a priority, and this shaped the cabin designs. Air New Zealand considered research that shows the first night away from home is often the hardest to get a good night’s sleep, so everything the team do onboard is designed to create a sense of calm and aid natural sleep patterns. Examples include the lighting, healthier food choices and breathable fabrics. Meditative onscreen content – Zentertainment – also helps customers prepare for rest, and Business Premier and Business Premier Luxe come complete with a memory foam mattress, duvet and pillow. Passengers are even offered a sleep ritual which includes herbal tea, a sleep balm and a ‘bliss mix’ snack blend of dark chocolate and nuts to help them unwind.
In economy, the Skycouch, which transforms adjacent seating into a bed, is ideal for couples, families, or solo travellers.
Seamless onward travel across Oceania
With 20 domestic destinations across New Zealand, Air New Zealand makes it easy for travellers to continue their journey on the same ticket.
The airline also serves key South Pacific islands including Samoa, Fiji, Niue, Rarotonga (Cook Islands), Tahiti, Tonga and New Caledonia.
Australia’s major gateways, including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, have frequent Air New Zealand connections.
It all means plenty of flexibility to help you create dream multi-centre itineraries.
You can connect your clients to Air New Zealand’s network via the exciting potential stopover destinations of Taipei, Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore or Bali in Asia or San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Vancouver, Houston or New York in North America.
