Its three-and-a-half minute technicolour whizz through the Lego universe was as joyous as it was genuinely informative – no one wants to sit through a woolly flight safety video, do they?
More than 20 million people watched it within a month and the video, featuring more than million Lego blocks, went on to win awards.
So how do you top that? Simple. Times the number of bricks by 10 (to 20,330,795) and make a new video, this time featuring more than 24,000 Lego figurines.
The airline has partnered with The Lego Movie 2 for the new video, which is set in a number of Turkish Airlines’ key destinations spanning five continents, including Bali, Moscow, San Francisco, Rome, Cape Town, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
This time, though, the video winds up back home at Turkish Airlines’ new base at Istanbul airport.
The video took 979 hours to make across four months.
Some 400 people across five countries were involved in its creation before the video debuted on Friday (February 8).
