Sir Richard Branson’s retreat in Morocco has added six new riads with private pools and rooftop tents.
Part of Virgin Limited Edition, the hotel will open the riads at Kasbah Tamadot this July, 10 months after the Moroccan region was struck by a devastating earthquake that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.
The Berber-inspired hotel has also confirmed its full re-opening date as 15 October, after being partially closed to repair the damage caused by the natural disaster.
Hosting up to 10 people, all six riads will feature three bedrooms with their own bathrooms, as well as a private pool area. Guests can also expect a lounge and a terrace with a hot tub, as well as a rooftop tented suite with views of the majestic Mount Toubkal.
The interior design of the traditional Moroccan villas echo the region’s distinctive style, with furnishings handmade by Berber artists supported by Kasbah Tamadot’s charitable arm, The Eve Branson foundation.
The team at the resort is 100% Moroccan, as part of the hotel’s mission to employ locally and deliver an authentic customer service experience.
