A handcrafted phinisi yacht offering bespoke private charters and uncompromised luxury through the world's most marine rich waters.
Dunia Baru meaning “New World” in Indonesian is a handcrafted phinisi yacht inspired by the traditional sailing vessels once used along the fabled Spice Routes. These majestic ships, now UNESCO-recognised, have been revived through Dunia Baru’s design, brought to life over eight years by the Konjo Boat Builders of Ara, South Sulawesi. These master shipwrights work entirely by eye, relying on generations of knowledge rather than blueprints. Constructed primarily from rare Ulin ironwood, an exceptionally durable but now endangered timber, Dunia Baru is among the last vessels of its kind.
Cruising through the Coral Triangle, home to over 600 species of coral and nearly 2,000 fish, guests can snorkel with whale sharks, dive with manta rays, and witness Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Marine experts and dive instructors are always onboard to guide unforgettable encounters. Thrill-seekers can enjoy jet skiing, wakeboarding, and a custom-built waterslide, while paddleboarding and kayaking offer serene exploration.
Dunia Baru’s bespoke itineraries, requiring a five-night minimum, are crafted around guest interests, be it diving, wildlife, or cultural discovery. From May to September, the yacht explores Komodo, Alor, and Flores. Later in the year, she continues east to the Banda and Forgotten Islands before heading to Raja Ampat and Papua New Guinea from November through April.
Accommodating up to 14 guests, Dunia Baru features seven spacious en-suite cabins, expansive teak decks, open-air lounges, and an onboard private chef crafting menus with locally sourced ingredients. An attentive crew of 18, including dive guides, yoga instructors, and massage therapists, ensures every journey is seamlessly curated.
Dunia Baru proudly supports marine conservation and local communities, offering aid, education programs, and guest participation in ongoing environmental initiatives.
From $20,000 per night on an all-inclusive basis. Minimum five nights.
