Salary £24,000-£32,000 (Dependent on experience)
A highly successful, well established and growing online travel company in the Newcastle area are looking for a Web Developer to work on various web related projects.
Working within the technical department you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the websites, front and backend that contributes to the success of the business.
The role involves engagement at every level from design right through to thorough testing, deployment, support and of course the continual maintenance cycle. The successful applicant will play a key role to help deliver a quality experience and strive to achieve high standards of work, ownership and accountability at all times.
You will need a broad skill set including a good foundation in logic, common sense and problem solving skills. You will be required to work across a range of languages, technologies and systems in particular PHP, MySQL and CentOS.
You will need to stay abreast of current technologies, actively seek learning opportunities and take part in the analysis and recommendation of new procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Hours 9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday. The role is office based and will require reporting to the directors regularly.
Free parking is available, also accessible by public transport
Salary is dependent on experience plus excellent company and travel industry benefits
