Travelbag’s Tony Carty has been promoted to joint managing director of dnata B2C Europe as part of a management restructure.
Current managing director operations, Neale Chinery is leaving the business to take up a new role in the international retailing sector.
Carty will assume responsibility for the dnata’s long-haul focused brands, managing Netflights in addition to Travelbag. He has been managing director of Travelbag since 2009.
Alan Williamson, currently director for Netflights, will report into Carty and assume responsibility for e-commerce across both brands.
Ian Simmonds will take over all responsibility for the more short-haul brands, Travel Republic and Sunmaster. Paul Edwards, managing director of Sunmaster, will continue to report into Simmonds.
Simmonds and Carty will report into divisional senior vice president, dnata Travel, Iain Andrew.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Neale for the contribution he has made in his time with dnata and welcome Tony into his new role. With Ian and Tony leading our consumer brands in Europe I look forward to continuing our stellar growth,” Andrew said.
