Experienced homeworker
• Business model: At Brilliant Travel, we offer a self-employed homeworking model with full flexibility and support. Homeworkers trade as Brilliant Travel Specialists, although established businesses can retain their own brand. Each homeworker receives a dedicated website page. As sales grow, there is an opportunity to progress to our Managed Partner model, which includes an Abta number and the ability to expand into retail premises and employ staff.
• Costs: We currently have no joining fees and have a low monthly cost. We do pass on card charges and the only other small cost is if they choose to Dynamically Package a booking. This is built into the package price.
• Commission structure: They will earn up to 75% commission on every booking with no cap on earnings. Our commission is paid on the VAT date approximately 8 weeks prior to departure. We provide each homeworker with a report to show every booking and when it will be paid.
• Licenses and memberships: We have a full Atol license and Abta membership. This allows our personal travel specialists to create bespoke, protected holidays, offering customers peace of mind and boosting their earnings. We offer a very comprehensive list of suppliers.
• Training & Support: Our induction training is a five-day virtual programme. Homeworkers receive a marketing starter pack on joining, including 500 business cards. We provide ongoing marketing and business development support, along with a dedicated support team for day-to-day assistance. Communication is maintained through email, closed Facebook groups, WhatsApp, regular Microsoft Teams calls and training sessions, plus access to our intranet hub, ensuring consistent engagement, support, and information sharing across the network.
