• Business model: Travelosophers are agents on self-employed contracts, agents have full flexibility to either work from home or open a high street travel agency and have the option of using the Travelosophers branding or they can choose to have their own branding, all agents are given their own static website on The Travelosophers website. Agents own their customer data.
• Costs: It is completely free to join Travelosophers and our joining fees start at £49+VAT per month for experienced travel agents and homeworkers who have a minimum of 3 years experience. Those who have been out of the travel industry for more than 5 years can join under the return to travel package or those with 1-3 years travel experience can join under our Travel Industry professional which has an ongoing fee of £65 plus VAT. With regards card fees they are: Consumer Debit (Mastercard + Visa) – 0.65%, Consumer Credit (Mastercard + Visa) – 0.75%, American Express – 2%
• Commission structure: Commission structure for experienced travel agents and homeworkers start at 65% and those returning to travel or under 3 years experience start at 60%. Agents can increase their commission by increasing sales. If an agent chooses to leave they can continue to pay their monthly fee until the last customer has travelled and keep all their commissions.
• Licenses and memberships: We are fully protected with ABTA and ATOL. We have access to over 400 suppliers and agents are free to use any supplier they want to.
• Training & Support: Travelosophers have a 3 day induction training via Teams, including an introduction to Travelosophers, starting your business, building your business and systems training and ongoing training with our training manager. Travelosophers have access to all Marketing and personalised branding material and given their own dedicated business development manager. We host two conferences a year in June and November and keep our agents fully up to date via weekly supplier training and monthly reviews.
