Marriott to launch EDITION Singapore

Taking over the former Boulevard Hotel site on Orchard Boulevard and Cuscaden Road, the eight-storey, 190-room hotel is set to open in 2019 and promises to deliver the intimate, individual hotel experience that visionary hotelier Schrager is renowned for.

Singapore will be the fifth city in the Asia Pacific region to welcome a hotel under the EDITION brand and will add a boutique-style offering to Singapore’s popular Orchard Road district. Technology, arts and culture will be at the forefront when it comes to the hotel’s design and the new owners hope it will become a hub for both international guests and locals, attracted to the numerous shopping and entertainment offerings in the area.

Marriott also announced it would be opening a JW Marriott in the city. That brand will be taking over management of The South Beach Singapore, a 634-room hotel that will now be converted into the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach.

It will be the first for JW in Singapore and will remain operational during a refurbishment with an official relaunch this November.
