Humphreys, who took up his role in 2015 having previously held a number of senior positions within BA, will also discuss the carrier’s recent route development, including new services to the US.
ITT chairman Steven Freudmann said he was “delighted” to welcome Humphreys to speak at the Odyssey Supper – the first time a BA representative has spoken at the gathering.
“We have had a great number of prestigious speakers over the years, and other airlines, but we have actually never had a speaker from BA, so we are all looking forward to hearing Stephen,” he said.
BA was the official airline partner for this year’s ITT Conference held in Sorrento, Italy, in July and Freudmann explained that the ITT was looking to develop closer relationship with the carrier following the event.
“BA did a great job as our official carrier for this year’s conference and without getting ahead of ourselves we are confident they will partner with us for 2018,” he said.
“We are keen to develop a relationship which goes beyond just providing seats, but focuses on the training and education front too.”
Freudmann said he hoped BA would in future join the ITT’s Education and Training Committee as the airline was “committed to raising standards within the industry”.
He added that BA was also working with the ITT to develop training programmes and work with the institute’s seven Centres of Excellence in the UK to bring new talent into the industry.
“Having BA as a company that is willing to take ITT placements is a huge benefit for us and our members,” Freudmann added.
Tickets for the Odyssey Supper on September 14 are priced at £136.50 plus VAT for members and £195 plus VAT for non-members.
