ITT chair Steven Freudmann revealed the location at the annual President’s Dinner held at The Dorchester.
Freudmann said it had been a competitive tender process with three other destinations bidding to host the event.
“To be frank they deserve our support. They’re an amazingly enthusiastic, energetic tourist board and in a sense the same can be said for the country,” Freudmann told TTG.
It is 22 years since any UK travel convention was held in Israel. The last was the ITT conference, which was held at the Red Sea resort of Eilat.
Delegates will offered a special ITT rate for both flights and accommodation.
Return flights will cost £295 including taxes with national carrier El Al.
Room rates at the Hilton will be £90 per person per night on the basis of two people sharing a twin room.
The event will be held between June 6 and 8.
“There are lots of criteria that host countries have to meet for the ITT conference but the biggest and most important single criterion is the appetite, the hunger, the desire of the host country to actually want to look after us and want to welcome us,” Freudmann said.
“And frankly it’s years since I’ve seen a country so enthusiastic as the Israel government tourist office are at the thought of hosting a major UK travel conference.”
Freudmann has already secured two big name speakers with former MP and shadow chancellor Ed Balls and outgoing Tui Group joint chief executive Peter Long set to appear.
