Christian Boell has left Norwegian Cruise Line as part of a recent management restructure.
Boell, previously the line’s European vice-president and managing director departed alongside Evelyn Ackermann, formerly NCL’s director of marketing for Europe.
Parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) announced the changes in a statement released on February 28 as part of “enhancements” to its continental Europe operations.
Following the changes, Kevin Bubolz has been appointed vice-president and managing director, NCL Europe reporting to Harry Sommer, executive vice-president, international business development.
NCLH said Boell had been “instrumental” in bringing a fifth NCL ship to European waters, Norwegian Jade, and introducing Premium All Inclusive to the market during his tenure.
“We thank Christian and Evelyn for their contributions and wish them the best of success in their future endeavours”, said Sommer.
The company also announced the appointment of Todd Hamilton to senior director commercial planning and the promotion of two team members from its Wiesbaden office.
Julia-Christin Wiencke has become director of marketing at NCL Europe and Tina Kunze has been named director of planning and operations.
Both Wiencke and Kunze report into Bubolz.
“Through these appointments, we are proud to reaffirm our commitment to the international markets, specifically the continental European and Scandinavian markets," added Sommer.
"Working with our strong and valued partners across all of Europe, we look forward to continuing to win guests over to our premium product offerings."
