Travel Leaders Group-owned luxury agency Colletts Travel has appointed a new managing director.
Neil Robinson joined the Hendon-based business on 15 July in the newly created role to oversee the Hendon and Fortune divisions of Colletts.
Founders Roy Collett and Michael Berlin will remain active in the business, offering Robinson guidance and operational support.
Collett will serve as brand ambassador, transitioning his focus from an operational remit to promoting the brand by strengthening relations and networking with suppliers and clients.
Robinson reports into Jason Oshiokpekhai, managing director for Travel Leaders’ UK-based brands Colletts Travel, Scotia Travel, Protravel International UK and Tzell Travel Group UK.
Founded in 1983, Colletts Travel currently has locations in Hendon and Temple Fortune as well as a standalone division in Rossendale, Lancashire.
The company was acquired by Travel Leaders in 2017.
Robinson brings with him a decade of experience within the leisure and corporate travel industry having founded Corporate Style Travel in 2013, operating as an independent travel advisor under Protravel International.
Oshiokpekhai said Robinson’s experience and enthusiasm in running his own business at Protravel meant he was "well-positioned" for his new role.
"The luxury travel sector is a burgeoning market in the UK and Neil’s background will help to streamline our efforts for potential growth areas as we look to strengthen our network and expand our talented team of agents and independent contractors,” Oshiokpekhai said.
Robinson added: “Colletts Travel has built an impeccable reputation for delivering exceptional service and personalisation over the past 36 years and I am honoured to be part of continuing its legacy and planning for the next phase of its growth.”
