The first C Resorts hotel, C Mauritius, will open on the island’s eastern coast on December 15.
It will become fully operational in March next year.
Constance is among to open two C Resorts a year over the next five years throughout the Indian Ocean, Africa and south east Asia.
Chief executive Jean-Jacques Vallet said: “C Resorts shares the same core values of excellence and inventiveness as Constance Hotels and Resorts but is the cool, younger sister, expressing its own personality through an atmosphere of fun and limitless creativity.
“We want it to be a place where guests can regain the free spirit of their youth and let go of their adult concerns.”
French interior designer March Hertrich has worked on the design of the Mauritius hotel, alongside architect Marie Ange Kreitman Taylor.
Constance says the C Mauritius will be the prototype for all C Resorts properties to follow.
Located at Palmar overlooking the lagoon and beach, it will feature 116 rooms, three pools, three restaurants and a spa, and will be run on a premium all-inclusive basis.
According to Constance, C Resorts will eventually comprise “a collection of vibrant, convivial, upper upscale lifestyle hotels aimed primarily at travellers born between 1965 and 1982.
C Mauritius will offer 12 original “Cignature” guest experiences, including a giant musical beach shower, an outdoor fitness studio, group hikes, a beach activity centre and beach party nights.
