Carnival UK has announced a resctructure leading to departure of sales and marketing chiefs

As part of this move, Carnival UK, which owns the two brands, has promoted Paul Ludlow and Simon Palethorpe to the roles of president P&O Cruises and Cunard respectively.

However Edgington, who was P&O Cruises’ vice president of marketing, and Rousham, Cunard’s vice president of UK sales and international development, will be leaving the company.

The sales and marketing teams for both brands have been combined with Alex Delamere-White adding marketing communications, CRM and digital to his P&O Cruises trade relations role and an expanded team reporting into him.

Angus Struthers, Cunard’s current vice president of marketing, takes on an additional new UK sales role working with the trade to grow Cunard’s UK business.

The changes come into effect on December 1 with Delamere-White and Struthers taking up the roles of vice president sales and marketing, reporting to Ludlow and Palethorpe respectively.

Josh Weinstein, Carnival UK president said: “These moves enable us to sharpen our focus, strive towards our long-terms goals and progress our talent within the business.

“This leadership team will underpin P&O Cruises’ position as Britain’s number one holiday choice and Cunard’s undisputed role as the benchmark for luxury travel as we work alongside our trade partners every step of the way.”

Paul Ludlow added: “Christopher has been instrumental in our brand marketing over a period which has seen record results for our business and created high visibility of cruising to a whole new audience. This sets us up very well for the next stage of our growth. I wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”

Simon Palethorpe said: “David has delivered strong growth for Cunard from our international regions and has forged new relationships around the globe. I wish him very well for the future.”
