The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s first project in the country will be a new icon for Melbourne.
The group has signed a management contract for a new-build project in Melbourne, Australia’s second most populous city.
Set to open in 2023, the 196-room Mandarin Oriental, Melbourne will also have 148 managed residences attached and will be located on the city’s Collins Street in the Central Business District.

The project is being developed by Melbourne-based property developer, Landream and is close to the Docklands and the Southbank tourist and entertainment precinct.
Dining at the hotel will include an all-day restaurant and a bar with a landscaped roof terrace, while the hotel will also have a spa and indoor pool.
