Norwegian is looking to recruit 40 new pilots, almost doubling its flight crew operating out of Dublin.
The low cost carrier says its recruitment drive mirrors its transatlantic expansion in Ireland.
Announced in June, Norwegian will next March launch daily direct flights to Hamilton-Toronto from Dublin, in addition to its existing twice-daily New York-Stewart operation.
It will also make its Providence-Boston service daily, taking its total weekly flights from Dublin to 28.
From summer 2019, Norwegian is planning to add nearly 40% more weekly US and Canada departures from Ireland, growing its programme to 40 flights a week in total.
The airline also serves Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki from the Irish capital direct.
Norwegian’s recruitment programme is specifically targeting pilots and first officers with a Boeing 737 operational certificates, with the airline due to take delivery of 100 new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
Helga Bollmann Leknes, Norwegian’s chief human resources officer, said: “Norwegian offers pilots a rewarding career with a diverse route network which spans both long haul and short haul destinations flying the latest Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
“We look forward to welcoming qualified pilots who want to work for an airline that recognises the vital contribution that they make to our business during this continued phase of expansion in Ireland.”
