Star Princess has returned to service in Hawaii after going through a multi-million pound refurbishment.
The Princess Cruises ship has just completed a two-week dry dock where work included enhancing its shopping, spa and fitness facilities.
The 2,600-passenger ship is also benefiting from redesigned youth centres, including the kids club, which has been refreshed and rebranded as Camp Discovery as part of Princess’ partnership with the Discovery Channel.
Other work included fitting Princess’ new beds and linens to all 1,300 cabins, while new carpets and upholstery have been installed throughout the ship. While Italian-themed restaurant Sabatini’s has also been refreshed.
Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said: “Star Princess now offers many of the signature product innovations our guests have come to love, including the Princess luxury bed, Camp Discovery and a revamped Sabatini’s.
“These enhancements continue our £330 million multi-year ship renovation campaign, ‘Come Back New Promise’, enhancing our onboard guest experience.”
Star Princess will be based in Hawaii for the next four months.
