Thomas Cook Airlines has started its new flights from Manchester to San Francisco with 30 incentive-winning agents onboard.
The inaugural service to the Californian city on Sunday means that Cook now offers seven US destinations from Manchester.
Christoph Debus, chief airlines officer, Thomas Cook Group said: “We are the largest long-haul carrier from Manchester airport and offer the best US leisure destinations for holidaymakers in the northwest and will keep putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.”
Cook’s flights from Manchester to San Francisco will operate twice per week.
Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester airport, added: “Manchester airport is the only UK airport outside of London to offer direct services to San Francisco and gives our 26.5 million annual passengers easy access to the West Coast of the US.”
