Princess Cruises is now pricing its cruises in euros for agents in the Republic of Ireland, as the line seeks to expand in the country.
It comes as Princess prepares for its first ship visit in Ireland when Caribbean Princess arrives in June, with more dates to be confirmed, it said.
The line said it would also be supporting the trade through its Princess Cruises sales team, and would provide access to online tools and training modules through onesourcecruises.com.
Director of sales Rachel Poultney will also become director of sales for the UK and Ireland, which it said "reflected the line’s commitment to develop and build relationships with the Irish travel trade".
Rachel Poultney said: “From today we’ll be focussing on building relationships and supporting our partners in Ireland. We will soon be releasing details of our Ireland store visit programme and are looking forward to supporting the trade in any way we can.”
Tony Roberts, vice president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “The introduction of the new euro pricing is the first step towards Princess’ concerted effort to expand within the Irish market. We believe that there is a demand for Princess across the country and by making it easier for agents to sell our cruises we are certain that we can help agents grow their business.”
