TTG editor Sophie Griffiths took home the Trade Writer of the Year accolade at last night’s Travel Media Awards.
Griffiths was recognised for two pieces at the awards ceremony in London.
One was her experiences of LGBT-friendly cruising onboard Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Reflection and the other was a first-hand report on Thomas Cook’s return to Tunisia since the Sousse terror attack of 2015.
Griffith also won the Trade Writer of the Year Award in 2015.
The Travel Media Awards was created in recognition of the hugely influential role that today’s travel media play. Submissions were judged by some of the UK’s most influential travel industry figures alongside leading travel writers and editors.
It was the second year running a TTG writer took home the Trade Writer of the Year accolade.
