Website provider Travelgenix says it has signed up a new travel business every day this year following the post-Covid bounce.
Travelgenix provides online bookable websites and said demand from UK clients was “outstanding” among independent agents, including retail agents, plus those operating call centres.
Chief executive Andy Speight said: “The travel industry is moving forwards and new technologies are pivotal to the rebound post Covid.
“We set an internal target to reach 100 travel agents in our first year and we have already reached 187 and looking to now support 500 travel businesses by the end of 2023.
“The demand for the Travelgenix solution has exceeded our expectations but it shows that travel agents are rebounding and adopting new methods to regain momentum after the past three years.”
Travelgenix works by adding widgets to the company’s existing website to make it online bookable “within hours” or by building a completely new platform.
Speight added: “If you look at your website as a shop, we are collecting stock from your suppliers, placing it on the shelves, displaying it at its best, and enabling your customers to quickly find what they want, pay and go. In essence, the complete booking flow, sorted.”
