Newmarket Holidays is urging agents to take advantage of its exclusive Wimbledon tours to serve up a slice of tournament action to their customers.
With the public ballot for tickets now closed, specialist tour operator packages are one of the few affordable ways members of public can still access the event, in a year where hopes are high for British stars of the sport.
The escorted-tour specialist says 2024 could be a smashing year for agents to tap into the public’s interest, with both Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal heading towards retirement, Emma Raducanu returning to form, and even Hollywood getting in on the act with the recent release of the big-budget tennis movie, Challengers, starring A-lister Zendaya.
Richard Forde, Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships at Newmarket Holidays said:
"It’s time for agents to make a racket about Wimbledon! Brit’s love an underdog and interest in both Murray and Raducanu will be massive this year, so agents who can lob a great range of Wimbledon packages to their customers are on to a winner!"
Newmarket Holidays offers Wimbledon tennis breaks that include a hotel on the outskirts of London, transfers and a tour manager, or a Central London option where guests can make their own way to the grounds, giving them extra flexibility to explore the capital during their short break. Prices start from just £272 per person.
Packages include reserved seats on No. 1 Court for the Championship’s second weekend for a series of singles and doubles finals, with play guaranteed thanks to the court’s retractable roof. Guests can move around the Wimbledon grounds to spot players and celebrities, and to join the lively crowds that gather on Henman Hill to watch Centre Court matches on the big screen.
