Cross has spent 13 years at Jet2holidays in several roles including national sales manager, regional sales manager, senior trade sales executive and sales advisor. He took up the general manager position in February 2022.
In a LinkedIn post on Thursday (14 August), Cross said: "After 13 fantastic years at Jet2holidays, my time has come to an end. It’s certainly been a journey and the growth has been phenomenal!
"I have had the pleasure of working with so many brilliant people both internally and with our partners, learning from them along the way. Thanks to everyone who has helped make it such a great experience! I’m staying in the travel industry and can’t wait to start a new chapter shortly."
In his general manager role, Cross has been responsible for ensuring Jet2holidays’ trade team are providing agent partners with the knowledge, support and data they need to sell Jet2holidays’ product confidently. He reports into the operator’s director of travel agent relationships Alan Cross, who is also his father.
The rest of the Jet2holidays trade team have been informed of his departure. A Jet2holidays spokesperson said: "Lloyd goes with our best wishes, having made a fantastic contribution as part of our award-winning trade team."
On Cross’s successor, they added: "We will look at all options and, as always, make decisions in the best interests of our independent travel agent partners."
Cross was a member of the TTG 30 Under 30 class of 2020/21 and currently sits on the board of the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
