Born and bred in Liverpool, Tiffany studied Hotel & Catering Management at college followed by working for Bass Hotels’ management trainee scheme in London. She went on to spend 10 years working in London hotels eventually becoming rooms division manager before deviating into sales and marketing.
The next 10 years were spent working for Six Senses Resorts as UK sales manager, contracting with UK operators and training sales consultants – she says her passion for travelling and creating memorable experiences was then well and truly fueled.
Having spent considerable amount of time on the road visiting agents she noticed there was a gap in the market for an independent luxury agent in Liverpool and so Myriad Travel was started in her garage.
Some two years later the business moved into a retail unit in a semi-residential area in South Liverpool. Business went from strength to strength and this year, they were fortunate enough to be in a position to purchase their very own shop in Woolton Village, located in a conservation area within Liverpool with good facilities and a larger footfall.
The shop has two floors, downstairs is the main sales floor whilst upstairs there is an executive lounge for cruise and for clients wanting an appointment. This lounge will also be used to host small client parties targeting specific destinations with the help of preferred operator partners.
Myriad Travel prides itself on being part of the community and gets involved with all the local groups, schools and local businesses. The agency operates a “buy local” policy and wherever possible promotes holidays from local airport, Liverpool. Myriad is available 24 hours to its clients and offers a concierge service, with 72% of clients repeat bookers; “Our motto is ‘committed to making your holiday better,” Tiffany says.
