Days 2-4: San Ignacio, Cayo District
Arrive in Belize’s adventure hub, with its caves, rivers, and ancient Maya sites, visit the San Antonio Women’s Group Cooperative, and explore Xunantunich, an ancient Maya site deep in the jungle.
Days 5-7: Lamanai, Orange Walk District
Transfer to the rustic Lamanai Outpost Lodge, located on the banks of a remote lake close to the remains of the ancient Maya city of Lamanai. Choose from a selection of activities included in the stay, from nature walks, sunset cruise, Lamanai archaeological site and more.
Days 8-9: Big Falls, Toledo District
Transfer to Tanager Rainforest Lodge at Big Falls for two nights. Visit Ixcacao, a Maya Belize chocolate producer and the Lubaantun archaeological site.
Days 10-12: Placencia
Transfer to Itz’Ana Resort in Placencia, on Belize’ Caribbean coast, for a final three nights of relaxation or adventure. There are plentiful activities available including snorkelling, sailing, jungle tours and more. Recommend the Garifuna drumming lessons!
Day 13: Depart Belize.
Day 14: Arrive back in the UK.

Highlights of Belize by Abercrombie & Kent
Clients will discover Maya marvels, wild jungles, golden beaches and Caribbean waters on this eight-day escape. It has plenty of flexibility in the activities so clients can curate their perfect holiday based on their interests.
Day 1: Fly to Miami
Day 2: Arrive in Belize
After a morning flight to Belize City, travel Belize’s Cayo District. This area of winding rivers, majestic waterfalls, mysterious caves and mountains is also home to the temples of ancient Maya cities.
Days 3-5: Cayo District
A guided visit to the Maya site of Caracol, the largest archaeological site in Belize, uncovers five ceremonial plazas and an astronomic observatory. Upon clients’ return to the hotel they can swim at the Rio on Pools and Rio Frio Caves. On their second day in Cayo, visitors can take a cave excursion to Actun Tunichil Muknal, go for refreshing swims under gushing waterfalls, go kayaking, biking or try horse riding. They could learn all about the life of the iguana at the Green Iguana Conservation project or head to the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch.
Days 5-7: Placienda
A private transfer will deliver clients to Placencia, a coastal village surrounded by sandy beaches, mangrove-fringed lagoons, coral-studded cayes and an exciting blend of Garifuna, Creole and Maya cultures. They’ll enjoy a relaxing couple of days on the beach or if they prefer they can take a diving or fishing tour. For the adventurous there’s cave tubing or a Monkey River adventure.
Day 8: Return to UK.

Day 11: Depart Ambergris Caye for Belize City and then the UK.

Day 6: Transfer to Toledo
Transfer to Belize’s less-visited southern coast and check in at the adventure-filled, family-friendly, Lodge at Big Falls.
Day 7: Optional adventures
Try kayaking, snorkelling, caving, hiking or a visit to a Maya or Garifuna indigenous community, to learn about how their long-standing settlements have maintained traditions and customs.
Day 8: Hokeb Ha Cave and Ixcacao cocoa plantation
Clients will follow the path to Blue Creek to arrive at a waterfall and the entrance to the Hokeb Ha Cave. Afterwards, they’ll visit Ixcacao, a small-scale, family-run chocolate manufacturer in San Felipe for a tour, demonstration and meal.
Days 9-11: Placencia
Transfer to Placencia for days at leisure. Clients can explore the village, relax on the beach or by the pools, or take out a kayak or paddle board. Several optional activities include snorkelling trips and boat trips in search of the West Indian manatee.
Day 12: Depart Belize.
