Renting a villa remains a great option for families looking for more freedom, flexibility and affordability than some hotels can offer.
Here are three new family-friendly villas to recommend to a range of clients.
Part of Interhome’s new Villas for Fitness range, Villa Vlastelini comes with its own tennis court, ping-pong table, putting green and private pool.
The property is set within sprawling gardens, with an outdoor barbecue.
Business development manager Danny Waine says: “Villa Vlastelini is ideal for families looking to experience the outdoors and [wanting] the freedom to be active on holiday. Beyond the villa there are hiking routes, mountain-biking trails and beaches a short drive away.”
For families who want to sample local Croatian culture and food, Waine recommends a trip to the nearby village of Labin. “Or if they prefer to stay and enjoy the villa, they can pre-book their own private chef or even arrange a masseur to visit,” he adds.
A seven-night stay in high season costs £4,169 for up to eight guests sharing, based on travel from 8-15 August 2020.
With facilities including a splash area, waterslide and playground, Solara Resort’s villas are perfect for kids, while adults will love the sports courts, spa and free grocery welcome pack.
Each home also comes with a private outdoor pool, while the resort’s clubhouse features a games room and fitness centre. Clients can also hop on the Flowrider surf simulator, which costs $30 for 30 minutes.
The size of the villas at this new resort means they would easily cater to larger families, with properties offering between six and nine bedrooms.
The resort is also located an eight-minute drive away from Walt Disney World Resort, making it a great option for families wanting to visit the theme park.
Seven nights in a six-bedroom self-catering villa starts from £799pp based on four adults and two children sharing, including flights, departing 14 September 2020.
This five-bedroom villa on the island of Paros sits atop a cliff looking down to the sea and has direct access to a beautiful beach.
The property is new for The Greek Villas, an operator that offers a concierge service for clients and can arrange anything from a private chef to boating excursions for the whole family.
Family-focused services on offer include nannying and arranging cots to be brought into the property.
The modern dwelling is made up of three different buildings, including a main villa and two guesthouses, making it suited to large families.
There’s also a large infinity pool. Vasilis Paradis, co-founder of The Greek Villas, says: “We appreciate the importance of excellent service and home comforts while on a family holiday, and offer our guests the extravagance of a five-star hotel while enjoying a home away from home.”
Prices start from €21,000 per week.
