ENTICING ATMOSPHERE
Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts’ brand Colours of Oblu is adding two new Maldives hotels. This month, Oblu Select Lobigili will open its 68 villas, while Oblu Xperience Ailafushi follows in March with 268 villas and a shopping promenade.
NORWEGIAN RETREAT
Preferred Hotels & Resorts is launching nine new properties this year, including Sommerro, a 242-room spa hotel opening in Oslo this September. Guests will sleep in art-deco rooms and swim in the city’s first rooftop pool.
EUROPEAN CHARMERS
This March, Relais & Chateaux will add Tipperary’s Cashel Palace, which dates back to 1732. The Irish hotel has 42 rooms and suites, a ballroom, spa and Guinness bar. Brindos, Lac & Chateaux, near Biarritz, will follow in April.
SPLASH CITY
This spring the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana will celebrate the launch of Rockaway Bay Water Park. The attraction will have 26 slides as well as an adults-only pool, two bars and a food truck area.

Guests of Unico 20º87º Riviera Maya have a range of new culinary experiences to try. These include cooking Mexican cuisine, sampling tequila and mezcal and joining chocolate-making workshops and craft mixology classes.
FLORIDIAN FIND
Slated to open in early 2022, the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in Fort Lauderdale will provide 189 beachside accommodation options. Guests can relax on the sea-view pool terrace, dine in four restaurants and wind down in the spa.
WELLBEING FIRST
Situated within the grounds of Thailand’s Banyan Tree Phuket, Banyan Tree Veya will bring a new wellness focus to the destination. The 23-villa resort within a resort will offer 50 activities run by wellbeing experts.
SPA SENSATION
The Saxon Spa at The Saxon Hotel and Villas in Johannesburg has added New York-based brand Ling to its treatments menu. The environmentally friendly brand is used for a range of facials and a “deep-sleep wellness massage”.
SAINT LUCIAN STYLE
A new 2022 entertainment programme at The Harbor Club, Curio Collection by Hilton, is bringing together local performance artists to celebrate Saint Lucian culture, with local DJs, steel pan players, flame throwers and salsa teachers.
