Coach tour specialist ceases trading after nearly 30 years

The firm, based in Kent, sold UK and European day trips and tours, as well as short breaks and “cruise and flight holidays”.

Prospective customers and clients will be contacted in due course about their holiday and payment arrangements.

In a statement posted on its webside, Buzzlines said it was with “deep regret” the business has ceased trading and was “unable to fulfil its commitments” while entering formal insolvency proceedings.

“The difficult decision to cease all trading activities has become necessary to comply fully with the responsibility by law as company directors,” the statement read.

It added: “Anyone who has booked to travel with Buzzlines Travel from 1 July 2019 will be contacted in due course by the appointed insolvency practitioner.”

According to Buzzlines’ terms and conditions, customers’ money is protected through a trust account providing protection for package money in the event the business cannot carry out its booking obligations for financial reasons.
