Princess Cruises will sail its largest ex-UK and Europe season ever in 2020 and will name its newest ship, Enchanted Princess, in the UK.
For the first time ever, the line will have three ships sailing full seasons from Southampton. In total, it will offer 1.4 million nights ex-UK, up 30% on 2019.
At a launch event in London on Wednesday (October 24), the line revealed a naming ceremony for Enchanted Princess will be held in Southampton in June 2020 before the ship is deployed in the Mediterranean.
It will become the first Princess ship to be named in the UK since Royal Princess in 2013. The line described the move as a further demonstration of its commitment to the UK market.
During 2020, Crown Princess will sail more than 150 days from Southampton between May and November, Island Princess will sail Northern Europe between June and October ex-Southampton, and Regal Princess will sail around Britain May to September.
Tony Roberts, vice-president Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Europe remains the most popular holiday destination for our UK guests so we’re delighted to offer more choice than ever before in 2020.
“The fact Southampton will see the launch of Enchanted Princess and that we have two of our newest ships, Sky Princess and Regal Princess, sailing in Europe, is a testament to the ever-growing popularity of Princess Cruises in the UK.
“If you’re already looking ahead to your 2020 holiday, now is a great time to book with deposits of just £50 per person available until April 31, 2019.”
