Silversea appoints new UK and Ireland marketing boss

Johnson joins from Carnival Cruise Lines UK and Ireland, where she oversaw a number of successful marketing initiatives and a multi-million-pound advertising campaign.

During 15 years with Carnival, Johnson held senior roles including marketing and sales manager, UK and Ireland at both Carnival and Holland America Line.

Based in London, her appointment comes ahead of the launch of new flagship Silver Muse in April and the extensive renovation of Silver Cloud – which will see the vessel become an ice-class ship suitable for exploring polar waters in November.

Lisa McAuley, Silversea managing director, UK & Ireland said: “With over 15 years’ experience in the cruising industry, we are very proud to be welcoming Erin and her wealth of knowledge and expertise to Silversea. This latest appointment further strengthens our top team within the all-important UK and Irish market in what promises to be a very busy year for the company.”

Johnson added: “I am delighted to be joining Silversea at such an exciting time. With Silver Muse launching in just a few weeks, the transition of Silver Cloud to the expedition fleet later this year, and a host of new developments at sea and on land, I am looking forward to further raising awareness of the award-winning Silversea product to consumers and the trade.”

Johnson will report to McAuley and begin her new role on March 20.
