Responsible Travel recruits comms specialist Debbie Hindle to board

Hindle stepped down as chief executive, travel, of public relations firm Four Agency Worldwide at the beginning of the year to focus on purpose-driven roles.

She is vice chair of the Travel Foundation charity, a volunteer for the non-profit Working With Cancer and a special advisor to the new Inclusive Travel Forum.

Responsible Travel founder and executive chair Justin Francis said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Debbie Hindle to our board. She helped us to launch the business 20 years ago and has been a staunch supporter ever since. We’re very much looking forward to gaining her strategic insights for the future.” 

Hindle added: “I’m delighted to take up the role of non-executive director at Responsible Travel. This business is an absolute pioneer in the travel sector; it challenges and questions both itself and others to deliver tourism which takes responsibility for its actions, supporting communities reducing carbon and preserving nature.  

“Its strong recovery since the pandemic shows the demand and need for such an industry leader, and I am looking forward to doing everything I can to support it on that journey.”
