Princess Cruises has sent a determined message to the world, promising to return following the suspension of its operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The line halted sailings on 12 March for 60 days and will return to the seas on 11 May.
To mark its pledge, Princess’s newest vessel, Sky Princess, displayed a defiant message of "#WeWillBeBack" to guests, crew, the travel sector and the world this week.
After pausing operations, Tony Roberts, vice-president UK and Europe, said on social media that Princess had “the most amazingly talented and passionate people all over the world”.
Following our decision to pause operations for 60 days I wanted to share my sense of pride to be part of this @PrincessCruises team. We really have the most amazingly talented and passionate people all over the world. #PrincessProud pic.twitter.com/vSPlUqW4Bf

The line had faced high-profile challenges onboard its ships amid the virus outbreak – including the quarantining of Diamond Princess in Japan.
Following the suspension, Sky will return to sail a season across Scandinavia and Russia, while Princess will have three other ships based in the UK.
